History

At Forté Academy of Music children and adults are learning music in a challenging and innovative manner, with tremendous success.  Forté Academy of Music was founded in 1997 by Mary S. Reinker.  Mrs. Reinker, a piano instructor for over thirty years in Illinois, California, and Colorado,  founded Forté Academy with her daughter Meryt Reinker Dean to provide quality instruction in piano and other instruments.  Their goal was to establish a method for students to learn music in a supportive environment with progress monitored regularly.

Thus the Forté Method was born. This unique approach provides each student with a comprehensive, progress-oriented music education, including note-reading; music theory and history; natural, injury-free technique; ear training; effective motivational techniques; performance skills; as well as a music computer laboratory.

At Forté Academy of Music, we believe that all students seeking music education deserve high quality, comprehensive training. The Academy combines traditional music instruction with the latest in music instruction technology to give students a solid foundation of musical knowledge. The Academy seeks to develop a musical foundation that will last a lifetime; one that can be applied to a professional music career or just for fun.
